So i got my bf to download loseit! or his iphone
I wanted to see what kind of factors go into making some ones budget, or if it was all static or random, and also to see what factors would change my calorie budget. So i entered in all my stats on his exactly the same.
Start weight: 135.4
Current weight: 127
Goal weight: 120
Gender: Female
Height: 5'5
Age: 23
Plan: Lose 1 pound per week
Which gave me a calorie budget of 1,433
per dayAnd once i reach my GW (goal weight), it gives me a budget of 1,887 per day to maintain.

(P.S. I know my height is actually 5'4, but all this was written before i found out i was shorter then i thought. :p)
So then I started changing things.
Changing the start weight did nothing so long as your current weight remained the same.
Changing the current weight changed your daily budget.
Changing the goal weight did nothing so long as you wanted to lose weight.
Then i played with the other things. Now keep in mind NOTHING has been changed other then what is said. Weight, Height, Gender, and Age all stay the same unless said so.

'Is this what i would weigh on the moon?'Just out of pure curiosity i tried to put my GW to zero pounds (same 5'5 height). It at least wouldn't allow that, but I could still put it 1lb. Then out of curiosity I wanted to see what the calorie budget would be if I weighed only 2 pounds. The budget was 612cals to get to be 1 pound, then with a maintenance of 1,105cals to stay at one pound. (going up by 493cals).

What is learned for the loseit! app:Starting Weight and Goal Weight, do not effect your calorie budget
Age, Weight, Height, and Gender all effect your calorie budget
Age, Height, and Gender,
do not effect how many calories you burn.
Only Weight effects how many calories you burn.
Which is basically how it really is in reality, give or take a few metabolism factors, which lose it allows you to compensate for. Such as age, i don't think an old granny has as high of a metabolism as a 27 year old young man. thus I would believe they burn different amounts of calories.
So this was me just playing with the lose it app using extremes to see what would happen. Hope this was interesting and you enjoyed!
